Team
Founder / Principal
Ali Mehdizadeh
California-licensed architect
Ali Mehdizadeh is Founder and Principal of CIAM Architects, a California-licensed architect and registered architect in Australia, with an international career spanning large-scale urban design, multifamily housing, mixed-use, and residential architecture.
Before founding CIAM, Ali contributed to landmark projects in Australia, including the International Towers at Sydney's Barangaroo with Richard Rogers' RSHP, major commissions with Cox Richardson, and the Sydney Metro Northwest with HASSELL. These experiences shaped an approach that brings together design ambition, technical rigor, and a clear understanding of how complex projects are delivered.
Today, he leads CIAM's ground-up multifamily, co-living, and mixed-use work across Los Angeles, guiding projects from early vision and design through construction and delivery. Through CIAM's collaboration with Category Design Group and integrated design, construction, and management teams, his work connects architectural thinking with the realities of building and development.

Simin Jamili
Architectural vision and design leadership
Simin Jamili is Founder and Design Principal of CIAM Architects, a registered architect whose work balances strong design vision with the discipline required to bring complex architecture to life. With a Master of Architecture from UNSW, her international experience spans landmark towers—including collaboration with Warren and Mahoney—master-planned communities, and complex mixed-use developments.
At CIAM, Simin leads the practice's design vision and architectural direction, shaping projects from early concept and strategy through design development and delivery. Her approach is thoughtful and rigorous, translating complex briefs into architecture that is distinctive, purposeful, and grounded in how people experience space and how buildings are ultimately built.
Design Principal
Ezgi Çam Aydın
Architectural and Interior Designer
Ezgi Çam Aydın is a Los Angeles–based Architectural and Interior Designer. Her work is informed by experience across entertainment, multifamily, and high-end residential design, including collaborations with studios specializing in immersive, large-scale creative environments.
Her approach is rooted in a deep appreciation for materiality, composition, and the relationship between architecture and everyday experience — across façade development, interior environments, and the coordination of design concepts from early vision through development.
